Erin-Claire Barrow is an author and illustrator who uses digital art, ink and watercolours to explore, retell and subvert traditional fairy tales and folklore.

In 2018, she spoke at TEDx Canberra on retelling fairy tales for our diverse, modern society to challenge stereotypes and encourage young people (and especially young women) to see themselves as the heroes of their own stories.

Erin-Claire is the author and illustrator of The Adventurous Princess and other feminist fairy tales, a book of traditional fairy tales retold and illustrated with a feminist twist. She is the creator of The Adventurer's Guide to Surviving the Folklore Wilderness, a weekly series exploring creatures and themes from the folklore of the British Isles and surrounds.
